Over 10 years ago my colon hydrotherapist recommend a film, Fat Sick & Nearly Dead, a documentary by Joe Cross exploring his journey with juicing. It not only changed his life, but truly opened my eyes to a whole new world of juicing. I thought juicing meant drinking orange or apple juice, prune if you were constipated, or mixing pineapple into a pina colada. I had no idea how much it would change my life.
Juicing is my go to for detoxing my mind, body and skin! What I love about juicing is It takes the guess work out of my day for what i am gong to eat. It also keeps me from grabbing unhealthy snacks, like chips or cookies. I have had many mishaps, once I added a ot of garlic into a tomato juice blend, I do not recommend that!
Many people say that juicing is expensive or time consuming, but I do not find that to be true once you get the hang out it. It's definitely cheaper than eating out. If you pick one day a week and make your juice, depending on how much you make it will take about an hour total, but you will have more than one meal! Using different sized containers helps with the storage too. I like to keep smaller sizes on hand to grab and go.

Remember to always chew your juice! A tip from my colon hydrotherapist that I found silly at first. I actually thought she was joking. It's very important to get the digestive process started in your mouth with your saliva glands, signaling the rest of your system food, although in a liquid form, is coming. If you find yourself chugging your juice to get it down you need to experiment with different recipes to find what works for you. Room temperature juice is also easier to chew.
I often substitute a meal or sometimes do complete juice fasts to reboot my system. I try to always use organic to limit my intake of unnecessary chemicals used when growing. My little girl enjoys helping make the juice, although getting her to drink any juice is challenging!

Here's a favorite blend to help you juice joyfully.
